Stuff!!

  • New template everyone! Isn't it lovely!? The aliens kick ass! I need to name them though!!!
  • The first few days of work during Ramadan were easy! I wasn't having any trouble at all, but now the thirst is kicking in and the sleepiness just doesn't wanna go away as much as I splash water on my face! Bleh, I don't like this!!
  • I'm trying to decide what to do during Eid! Should I go with my friends to Sharm!? Should I visit Kuwait and Bahrain (I have lots of ppl I wanna see there) or should I go to London (I really miss it)!? I can't decide!!!
  • I refrained from listening to music on the first day of Ramadan but I couldn't hold out much longer! the artists were kicking their tunes on my speakers by the 2nd morning! *Feels guilt*
  • Why am I feeling the need to flirt much more than I usually do during Ramadan! God damn u Satan, u evil devil!! hehe
  • Fuckin Brits in the UK seem to think that I can be extra productive in Ramdan! Since the month started, my workload has probably doubled, and everytime I finish one project and think to myself I can finally relax a bit, I find myself having to do another one!

Celebrate good times, come on!!!

Okay, I've been swamped with work over the past 10 days, and tonight + tomorrow are no different! I'm staying up all night to work on a presentation which I'm gonna discuss with my boss at the office at 8.30 am tomorrow! Mind u, tomorrow's supposed to be Saudi's National Day and it's a holiday for everyone, but nooooo, I'm gonna have to get my sorry ass to the office at 8.30 am!!! Anyway, I don't have time to complain and I certainly don't want to depress myself... Consider it a summarized venting/ranting/fuming session if u may :P
I just wanna wish all the Muslims out a lovely month... Ramadan Kareem to u, ur family, ur friends and all ur loved ones. May all ur wishes and prayers be fulfilled in this holy month!
I also wanna take this opportunity to wish my fellow Saudis a lovely National Day! Enjoy the day off and give ur body the relaxation it needs!

Half Man/Half Amazing

I've been a music-holic since God knows when! I'm sort of like the go to guy if someone needs to be hooked up with new music... I'm not into all types of music per se; just a few genres here and there... If u like Hip-Hop, R&B, House, Trance, Electronica, some Arabic, U'll probably like my style and taste...
I've been thinking of starting a part time career in music! NO, I'm not gonna sing hehe! I wanna become a part time DJ! I mean I've got the music, and I have the ear for it based on my friends' feedbacks... See, I DJed in some small scale parties for a few friends, and even though I was just using iTunes and it's Crossfade playback effect, after the party a few ppl came up to me and told me they loved my selection and how most of songs blended in very well into each other! Of course I don't need to tell u how big a smile I had on my face, and of course how big an ego I developed hehe...
Anyway, I've been checking out Mixers, Digital Turntables and Amplifiers and I'm seriously considering getting myself a Mixer, a couple of turntables and a few speakers, in the region of 4 to 6 for now... This will cost me close to $3,000-$4,000!! So it is a proper investment, but it's worth it if u ask me! At least I'll be doing something I love... Instead of the 22" rims I've been wanting to fit my car with, I can get those!! The shiny big ass wheels can wait :)

I hate....

...damp moisty weather caused by humidity
...stress and work overloads
...when people are sooo slow and u need to repeat urself a million times
...when u want to say a word and it's on the tip of ur tongue but it just won't come out
...people who are just so persistent even though they got the message
...people who don't listen and refuse to be convinced
...the crappy streets of Jeddah
...taking my car to service
...ordering food through delivery and receiving an incorrect or missing order
...the time when my phone gets disconnected cuz I've reached my limit
...lousy drivers who think they own the road
...people with body odor who don't consider other peoples' rights
...it when parents say "No, because I said so"! Just give a damn reason
...feeling bloated and too full after a hearty meal
...liars, fakes and cheaters
...two-faced people and people living double standard lives

Can people change?!

For those of u who've seen '16 Blocks' u probably remember when Bruce Willis tells Mos Def (By the way, I think he did an amazing acting job in that movie) that people don't change, while Mos Def tells him that people do change... What's ur take on this?! Do people change? There's the saying that goes "Once a cheater, always a cheater" which primarily goes inline with the theory that people do not (and cannot) change...
I personally think that people can change... Of course I also believe that the majority of people do not change... Nevertheless, I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt by following the whole "Innocent till proven otherwise" theory... With that in mind, I'm also that type of person that puts much emphassis on someone's past... Although one might change, and I'll applaud them for it, I'll always remember the things they've done in the past, especially the things that may impact me significantly... Some mistakes can be forgiven and forgotten, others cannot... In between, there are mistakes that can be forgiven but not forgotten... These mistakes tend to leave some sort of infinite scars...
I know that perfection only exists in the creator himself, but that does not mean I should sit back, fuck up here, there and everywhere then say "It's okay, I'm not perfect"

How, oh how did they use to manage?!

One probably wouldn't stand a chance at arguing that communication channels have gone a long way from 10 or 20 years ago... I mean that's a given fact!! Some years back, when we were kids, remember how we would organize our day precisely ahead of time? We would meet up at his house at this time (hypothetically)... Why was that the case?! Simple really! Lack of proper communication methods.. Our source of communication was the wired home telephone... In other words, once u leave the house, ur off into the wilderness of hope! Hope that ur friends don't decide to cancel in the last minute! Hope that they won't be late! Hope that nothing delays ur trip! Hope that everything goes according to plans... Why?! Well because if anything unplanned occurs, ur simply screwed... Imagine reaching a restaurant and not finding anyone... Waiting while questioning whether they're late, or did they cancel?! In such ciscumstances, u'd be extremely happy if it turned out that they were just late after all...
So how come these problems are non-existant nowadays?!
Tadaaaaaa, introducing THE MOBILE PHONE!
As much as we take cell phones for granted, I must admit that they are life savers! Basically in a scenario similar to the one above, my friend would call me while I was on my way to the restaurant and tell me that he/she would be late... Okay, no biggie, I'll just pass by the supermarket to waste some time.. Or maybe pick up that CD I've been wanting to get... Or how about I check out a clothing store to see if I like anything... If the plan was cancelled, then I could simply ask what the new plan was, and make amends by taking the next turn and heading towards my new destination!
Also, no more worrying where by mom over where I am till 3 in the morning... She can simply dial my number and ask me if everything's okay.. Of course I'll also hear a few words about how I'm irresponsible for staying out without letting her know lol
But overall, god bless whoever came up with the technology that enabled the use of voice communication over a cellular network!
